New Year and New Beginnings......................

At Alex and Marc, we hope everybody has had a beautiful Christmas, and is looking ahead to a prosperous New Year!

A reminder to those who have their extended family groups together over this time, that now would be the perfect opportunity to book your Alex and Marc Experience and create some lasting memories of your family as it is now.

As we move into the start of a New Year, let us celebrate our personal milestones!
For all those starting a new school, class, course, job or indeed anything that this New Year brings - celebrate your new beginnings with a beautiful, unique, Alex and Marc experience.
For all the little ones starting School for the first time, or moving up to High School- we are running a special promotion in our Castle Hill Studio.
Our 'Back to School' package includes: your Alex and Marc Photo shoot, a beautiful album of your choice and two beautifully presented image folios for the Grandparents and relatives.
Of course your shoot doesn't need to be limited to the little ones- you could use this opportunity to come and have a special family shoot together- just tell us about your family and what you would like, and leave us to create a set of images that will stay with you for life- to remind you, and your children of this time in the years to come.

For our 'Forever' clients- further offers are available in conjunction with this promotion- call the studio for a chat to find out more............

The Best of 2009

As 2009 draws to a close Alex and Marc New Generation Portraits would like to celebrate our wonderful team, and our fantastic clients.

A big thank you to all who participated in the Photoshoots and production of our book produced alongside the Humpty Dumpty Foundation , with all proceeds going to the Foundation, who continue to raise funds to buy medical equipment, both here and overseas, for the hospitals who care for sick children. Orders of the book have been dispatched for you to enjoy over Christmas.

We look forward to pursuing further charity projects in the coming year, please contact our Head Office on: 1300 246 200 with any proposals.

We have enjoyed teaming up with other new businesses within Castle Towers this year, current projects include the beautiful images for AZUL jewellery on display on the top floor of the centre. Susana Morales and her business partner Angie Henao started Azul last year with the aim of selling eco-friendly jewellery while helping disadvantaged families. Despite being less than two years old, the company gives generously to organisations like World Vision, as well as Campbelltown Hospital. Ms Morales said all Azul’s jewellery was made from the Tagua nut which originates in Colombia. Further information can be found on their website www.azulearth.com

We have also had a high-energy concept shoot with Sanctuary Hair, who have salons in Castle Hill and Hornsby. We closed our studio for the evening and created an evocative French ‘Mai Maison’ style atmosphere. These images together with our distinctive Alex and Marc style portraits of the staff will be used for their upcoming marketing campaign- I am sure you will agree- they all look fantastic!

This month we would like to congratulate our winners fromour 15th December Pet’s Paradise prize draw.

The Tween family from West Pennant Hills have been in for their family portraits with their beautiful Retievador dog Theodore.

Jack Tween was elected prefect of his school this year and we have taken some beautiful images of him with his badge, very smart!

Over January to create beautiful memories, we are running a BACK TO SCHOOL promotion in our Castle Towers studio.

Please contact the studio and watch the blog over the next week for further information.

Have a fantastic Christmas and New Year- we look forward to seeing you at the studio in the new year.

""Becky was originally a stray at a local pound. As with many pounds they have a time limit or capacity issues and are not able to rehome all the animals that they receive. The RSPCA was doing a routine transfer to one of these pounds and saw Becky and a few other dogs and offered to take from the pound to relieve them.
Becky passed an RSPCA Behavioural Assessment and a Health Check
. I quickly fell in love with Becky and decided to adopt her."

Great Day at Paws in the Park -13th September 2009

We had a great day for our first Paws in the Park at Baulkham Hills. The day was packed with activities and stalls for all the dog lovers to spoil their pooch.
There were so many exciting stall to see and as the day went on Brian and Kaye Pickering talked us through the events and stalls:
Siggy from Kellyville Pets had Conquer (Blackie to us) their beautiful and very friendly Black Cockatoo plus a Frilled Neck Lizard for the children to pat.

The vets from Sydney Animal Hospital giving you showbags of information and treats for your pets plus a “Free Dental Health Check”.

To make sure your pets travels safely to and from places- there was Stewart from Back Seat Buddy.

To keep the kids happy and some adults as well lovely Eirann from Face Fiction was there to paint happy faces on everyone. She certainly made the crowd come alive with her unique designs.

If you did not own a pet yet – there was opportunities for you to talk to the wonderful people from Adoption Centres such as Greyhound Adoption Program, where you can give a home to a Greyhound (which don’t need much exercise or space , believe it or not – apparently they exercise in short spurts , so they only need a 15 min walk a day).
RSPCA also was there to raise awareness and had a cute little dog looking for adoption. Plus the girls from DCH Animal Adoptions , which is a volunteer rescue charity for rehoming abandoned animals – they also had two wonderful big fluffy and friendly Collies looking for new families – one which name was “Roger”.

Terri and Grant Odell from Pets on the Park had a great range of accessories for which to spoil your puppies. Teri had her cute little Brussells Griffon’s on show as well – They are the dog from the movie “As Good As It Gets” – starring Jack Nicholson.

Sassy Treats had some great smelling cookies on show for your dog if they got a bit hungry through out the day, their treats are Organic and Natural so you can have piece of mind for your pets teeth. If you have an over-weight dog, they have healthy balanced meals pre-papered for you to help get your dog back to a healthy weight.

As the day was very hot and we had a lot of sweaty puppies they could cool down and get cleaned with Genny from Aussie Pooch Mobile dog wash. Genny and her team was kept busy all day with dogs cued to get wash (or cool down) and Genny had her little dog Tippee with her. Tippee was very excited to show me her tricks (for a special treat of course ☺ )

You can look at the Pet Product Reviews on www.petproductreviews.com.au
As you can see the day was a full day and our stall had lots of people wanting their pets booked in and photographed for Christmas Presents.
